I’m writing this just as the Christmas and New Year memories are beginning to fade, and thoughts turn to Valentine’s Day and Spring – particularly for crafters and those wanting to create something handmade for loved ones.
So today’s Oliopix product showcase is designed to give you some inspiration for creating cards, scrapbook memories, decorations and jewellery pieces.
Of course we have hearts galore, together with some cute vintage cupids, plus spring flowers and pastel backgrounds guaranteed to lift the mood as we (in the northern hemisphere) wait patiently for Spring to arrive.
These products are all digital downloads. When you buy them, you’ll be sent a link via email to download them. They can then be printed as many times as you like, on to whatever types of paper, card, transparencies, transfer sheets, parchment paper or other media you so desire. You just need to know what types of paper your particular printer can handle.
Here we go…
The first collection of hearts has been created in gorgeous reds, pinks, oranges and blacks and features swirly abstract background papers taken from authentic vintage manuscripts and book covers.
38 different heart designs across various sizes and patterns for you to print out and adorn your creations.
The second collection of hearts is a bumper crop of eight collage sheets featuring vintage flower-pattern backgrounds in a range of colours. These are really beautiful and would look fantastic on cards, on scrapbook pages, as jewellery pieces, or even as interior decorations.
They cost more than our standard collage sheets, and net you 33 sheets crammed with almost 150 individual images, including cupids, hearts, words, backgrounds and banners. Definitely worth taking a closer look at.
Birds and Hearts
I really enjoyed creating this wonderful set of warbler birds sitting in trees, in a wonderful inky black, sitting on a marbled background and red hearts. This could be the basis of slightly unusual Valentine’s cards.
These are ATCs (2.5 x 3.5-inch) but because of their high resolution, they can be scaled up quite significantly should larger prints be required. Of course the advantage of buying them as a download is you can experiment to your heart’s content.
Here’s cupid sitting in front of a red heart waiting to shoot arrows at some of the recipients of all those love letters.
Or how about two cupids sitting in a serene garden.
These are large prints so they’re very versatile. Print them at their full size for main display pieces, or scale them down for use in your own projects.
For spring decoration, check our Spring flowers and gingham background papers which add a lovely pastel tone of squares and stylised flowers to your crafts.
Alternatively, how about our Spring flowers 1-inch circles, with hand-drawn flowers sitting on gorgeous red background.
Or check out our mediaeval daffodil collection.
